Cadet Projects

Project work

As part of the cadets classification training, they need to do 25 hours of project work. These can be anything from model making to radio communications or public relations work. Projects can be anything as long as it benefits the squadron or the person doing them.

Current Projects

The current ongoing projects include more work to update this website, including more content and updating the photos and current activities, an aeromodelling display for the annual competition, a display board for use with recruitment days and a display showing research into Major Edward 'Mick' Mannock who 378 squadron is named after. The below photos show work on our current projects, the Mannock display board in now on display at the squadron head quarters in spring gardens.

Other Activities Undertaken During Training

Drill is a major part of discipline within the Air Training Corps. A cadet must know how to pay complements to an officer and know how to march on parade. Once a year cadets get the chance to compete in a competition against other squadrons, which takes place at the annual Wing Field Day.
